Thin Blue Bricks 2024 Report

Tartan LUG are pleased to announce £2800 was raised for Care of Police Survivors, a charity who support the families of police officers who have lost their lives whilst on duty.

Thin Blue Bricks returned on the 17th February 2024, with the Banqueting Hall at the South Lanarkshire Council Headquarters as venue once again. Over 700 excited LEGO fans, young and old, came through the doors for the show, now in it’s third year.

The day was supported by Tartan LUG members from all across Scotland, displaying impressive sets, builds, and dioramas ranging from Star Wars and Harry Potter to their own original and inspired creations. Many there helped volunteer to ensure smooth operation of the show; they were helped tremendously by Police Scotland Youth Volunteers. The show was supported greatly by Scottish Police Credit Union Foundation.

The committee would like to thank event organiser and LUG secretary Cennydd Smith, for all his hard work, and to all the above for their amazing support.

Local charities

Care of Police Survivors (COPS) is a charity that supports the families of police officers and staff who have lost their lives on duty. The charity was founded in 2003 and provides peer support opportunities to bring survivor families together, as well as access to counselling and specialist bereavement services.
