The Tartan LUG is a Scottish group of Adult Fans of LEGO® (AFOLs). We are a very active community who organise public shows, exhibitions, kids’ clubs and AFOL meet-ups. Our members are interested in all aspects of LEGO®. We love to build, collect, show and talk about those beautiful bricks.
The Tartan LUG has no definite start date as most members have been LEGO® fans their whole life. The members have been meeting together for years to discuss LEGO®. The LUG had its first official organized meet up in December 2014 and its first public show in July 2015.
Our members love to share their builds, ideas and suggestions. Most of the community discussion happens in our closed Facebook group (Tartan LUG Fan Zone), and members-only discussions take place in our forum.
I'm a big fan of science fiction, fantasy, and adventure stories, so love to create MOCs on these themes. I'm a slow MOC builder, though (partly because I'm an even slower parts-sorter!), and also love sets - the weirder and more creative the better!
Not much more to say other than I like myself a good bit of LEGO®. Whether it be my growing army of brickheadz or the random little accessories to collect.
My favourite brickheadz is my own scaled-up Big Betty Brickhead.
I'm all about the dragons when it comes to Lego. I can get lost for hours building them then displaying them in the house and at shows. I love the structure of a set over M.O.Cs.
As an AFOL and certified facilitator of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods and materials, I use LEGO bricks to design and facilitate change management, strategic thinking and professional and personal development solutions.
I'm a lifelong LEGO fan and MOC builder. My creations are usually related to gaming, anime, or Star Wars. I love collecting 90s LEGO subthemes in the Castle and Space realms as they also inspire my MOCs.
